Installing FFMPEG on a mac UPDATE

Ok, you can forget all the stuff about applying a patch. Graham Booker just came up with a smart solution for the problem, and the patch has been applied to the source.

So it seems I just installed ffmpeg at the wrong moment, catching this transient problem.
