Learning to backflip

My old colleague Joe Walnes learnt to backflip a couple of months ago for a bet. This seems an amazing feat to me. There is a quicktime movie (2Mb) of him doing 3 in a row.

He learnt in less than 6 weeks - I wonder if I could do that? He makes it look easy.
